Food Services

The dining rooms in both the Intermediate Care and the Special Care neighborhoods offer a home-like dining atmosphere, complete with wood floors and beautiful outdoor views. Residents who are physically able are encouraged to eat in the dining room, but some may periodically choose to eat in the privacy of their room. Supervised dining may also be available on outdoor patios and verandas, weather permitting.

Healthy, tasty meals are prepared in a state-of-the-art kitchen and monitored by a dietician and a food services manager. A Food Council, comprised of residents and staff, offers suggestions for menus that are of interest to the resident population. Ethnic and festive menu options are planned in recognition of special holidays.

We invite family members to make same-day reservations with our dietary department to join their loved ones for a meal. There is a minimal charge for this service.

Healthy snacks are available for those between meal cravings and the refreshment cart provides ice-cold water and drinks to maintain proper hydration throughout the day. Snacks are also served during special events or with planned food activities and are available upon resident request.
